Right time, right place – Lovell Homes reports record reservations at Trinity Walk

Lovell Homes has seen one of the best sales periods in the three years since it launched Trinity Walk in Woolwich. The busy sales team has taken 13 reservations in just a few weeks with more buyer interest in the pipeline.

The purple period is down to a number of factors, as sales manager Lea Hudson explains.
“Many of our purchasers have been first time buyers who want their own space. They may have been renting with other people or living in smaller apartments and, after the lockdown period, were determined to buy their own bigger apartment.”

Lea added: “The next biggest factor has been the stamp duty holiday and buyers haven’t needed to save as much to reserve. On top of that, Help to Buy and low interest rates mean that it is one of the best times ever to reserve – and buyers are very savvy to this.”

Regularly appearing in the top 10 for property price increases in London since 2018, Woolwich, as an area, is in high demand. This has resulted from an array of regeneration projects and increased capital growth projections. First time buyers are recognising the long-term plans for SE18, in addition to all the positive measures for house buyers, and they are coming to our marketing suite on Sandy Hill Road.

The Government’s decision to extend the current Help to Buy scheme for both first and second time buyers, for three months, until the 28th February 2021, has given housebuilders, who have been impacted by Covid-19, more time to complete developments.

Lea, added: “Since the end of lockdown, sales have been very positive and we have released our latest apartment block ahead of schedule, to offer more apartments to customers.

“We have seen the majority of first-time buyers take up the London Help to Buy scheme allowing them to secure a mortgage of only 55 per cent of the value of the property, with only a five per cent deposit.”

“With one-bedroom units starting at £355,000, two bedrooms from £460,000 and a three bedroom property priced at £555,000, we have every price point covered. We already had a number of potential buyers waiting for this release.”

Trinity Walk is a collection of 445 new build one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Each new home has been built to maximise space and light as well as being finished with a high specification to ensure high levels of comfort, security and quality.
