Perveen (Parv) Gill and Rushpal (Rush) Bharj are relishing the idea of living in Woolwich and setting up home in their new two-bedroom apartment at Lovell Homes’ Trinity Walk with their English Bulldog, Boris.
The young couple were careful to do their homework on where in London would be not only a great place to live, but was also very much a property destination on the up and was within their budget of £500,000.
Parv,32, explained: “We both agreed that our priority, when choosing an apartment, was to get as much square footage as possible for the money, and to focus our property search on a location with the advantage of a Crossrail station. Plus, with Boris, we wanted access to green space.”
Rush, 34, said: “Woolwich seemed to tick our boxes because of the new Crossrail station making access into the West End and central London really quick. We knew that the whole area has been benefitting from a massive regeneration with lots of investment from developers’ residential housing. The Council has actively committed resources to transform the amenities, the high street and create the cultural and arts destination, ‘Woolwich Works’, which opens this September.”
When the couple walked into the contemporary two-bedroom apartment on the 8th floor at Trinity Walk, they immediately knew it was ‘the one’ and within budget at £490,000.
Parv said: “We’d seen another apartment at Trinity Walk, but this must have been waiting just for us as the views are incredible. We have so much more space and light than anything else we’d seen; views from every room and not one, but two balconies. Lovell has now completed the final phase here, so we know that everything we see is protected and we have a view for as long as we live here.”
Rush commented: “Considering we only put in our mortgage application on the 1st June, we cannot believe we managed to complete before the 30th June and benefit from saving on Stamp Duty. Originally, completion was scheduled for July, but we used all solicitors and mortgage advisors recommended by Lovell, which, along with keeping on top of what was happening, really speeded up the legal buying process.
“For us, the open plan layout is ideal – perfect for cooking and is a really sociable, practical space. We loved the neutral décor, the beautiful clean finish and the contemporary styling that flows throughout the apartment,” added Parv.
This will be the couple’s first home together along with Boris their four year old bulldog. Parv has been living with her parents in Basingstoke Hampshire and working as a Pharmacist in nearby Winchester for the last seven years. Rush works as a Business Analyst and has been working from home since the pandemic began.
Rush and Parv are already planning their first shopping expedition to go and buy bits and pieces for their new home to put their own personal stamp on it. When not taking a nap, Boris (not named after the PM!) is looking forward to exploring the endless parks, woods and walks in and around Woolwich in London’s greenest borough of Greenwich.
Lovell Homes’ collection of 445 contemporary residences at Trinity Walk include one, two and three bedroom apartments and prices start at £355,000 for a one bedroom apartment. The great news for buyers - there are apartments to immediately move into.
