Nicholas Wong was no stranger to living at Trinity Walk when he bought a 600 square foot one-bedroom apartment at the popular development, built by Lovell Homes, in Woolwich.

Nicholas, 43, had already been renting at Trinity Walk, when he decided to make the step up and get on the property ladder and was able to take advantage of Help to Buy when he bought his £375,000 apartment.

Nicholas loves the attractive, practical layout and stylish design of his new one bedroom home. He added: “The open plan feel really works well and there is plenty of natural light. The storage space in the apartment has been cleverly designed so there’s a place for everything and my home never looks cluttered. Lovel Homes has been really clever designing the flexible space in a one bedroom apartment and these are as big for the money as anything on the market.”
Nicholas has always enjoyed being a Woolwich resident and feeling a part of the friendly local community. Now, as a homeowner, he feels even more connected to Woolwich. “For me, the fact that everything in Woolwich is so easily accessible, like supermarkets and shops, is so convenient. I can pop out for something and be back home in minutes, or visit a local café nearby or grab a takeaway – there’s a great choice of food, culture and amenities on my doorstep.

“One of the most attractive factors about being in this location is the fact that it has a feeling of peace and quiet, but at the same time you are in a city setting; perhaps it’s the big green spaces and proximity to the river, that make it feel more open and less urban.”
Nicholas believes that buying in Woolwich in south east London is a sensible first-time buyer investment. “The impact of Crossrail on Woolwich can only be a positive factor for anyone buying a property here, the transport options and connections are already good, but Crossrail is going to bring even more advantages when travelling into the West End and out of London.”

He explained: “For me, the wonderful view of the treetops from my flat on the 7th floor is a big part of the reason I chose to buy my first home and to continue enjoying living at Trinity Walk. I was a happy renter at this development, so it made perfect sense to make the move to become a homeowner.”

Since lockdown, Nicholas has been working from home in his role as a Service Manager for a technology company. He said: “During the period when everyday life was restricted, having a balcony with a leafy view overlooking green space, the River Thames and the London skyline really helped keep my spirits up. Having a private outdoor space meant I could relax and appreciate nature and the outside world.”
