Help to buy’ gave Tom the leg up to climb on the property ladder at Trinity Walk
Marketing professional, Tom Stevenson, 27, has just moved into his one bedroom apartment at Trinity Walk and has reflected on the whirlwind last five months that took him out of renting and into home ownership.
Explaining the reason for choosing Lovell Homes’ development in Woolwich, Tom said: “Trinity Walk offers first time buyers great value for money but there’s no doubt about it, Help to Buy gave me the leg up to buy the apartment in London. There’s no way I could afford to do it otherwise. Having the stamp duty holiday was an added bonus!”
Tim paid £335,000 for his spacious apartment which also boasts an en-suite bathroom and large balcony.
Tom added: “When I came to view the apartments in July, I had a walk around Woolwich and thought the area had so much to offer. As well as Crossrail opening next year, which is just a ten minute walk from the apartment, I now have the riverside with its café culture on my doorstep, as well as a large Tesco, gym, restaurants, shops – all within easy reach.
“I was initially looking at Walthamstow for a property but started to look at new builds in Woolwich and Royal Arsenal. I found Trinity Walk on an on-line search and decided to make an appointment to view.
Tom says Trinity Walk offers ‘great value for money’ – good sized apartments, space and storage, but it’s the outside space that caught his eye.
“One of the most attractive features is the big balcony and one of the main reasons I fell in love with apartment. I could picture myself sitting out on it in the summer enjoying a glass of wine. To have outside space is amazing, especially in these Covid times when you are at home all the time.”
The peace and quiet is also a nice change for Tom. “I used to rent in Bow and found you could always hear the road, no matter what time of day or night it was. It’s so quiet at Trinity Walk. You can’t hear the road or anyone!”
Lea Hudson, sales manager at Lovell Homes said: “We are delighted Tom has been able to get on the property ladder at Trinity Walk.
“Property hunters have been taking advantage of one of the best times to buy an apartment in London. We have seen most first-time buyers take up the London Help to Buy scheme which allows them to secure a mortgage of only 55 per cent of the value of the property, with only a five per cent deposit.”
Lovell Homes’ collection of 445 contemporary residences at Trinity Walk include one, two and three bedroom apartments and prices start at £355,000 for a one bedroom apartment.
