Easy choice for first time buyers selecting Trinity Walk
For Matthew Coote and his wife Annie Wang deciding to buy at Lovell Homes’ Trinity Walk was an easy decision.
The couple had been renting in Woolwich for five years and knew the development offered everything they needed. Matthew and Annie took advantage of the stamp duty holiday and London Help to Buy to secure their £365,000 one bedroom apartment together.
Matthew,33, said: “It wasn’t a difficult decision when we saw the apartment. We love the location, it was in our price range and we could use the Help to Buy scheme.”
Matthew added: “We knew we wanted to be above ground floor level and we choose our one bedroom apartment on the fifth floor. We both liked the open layout with lots of natural light. One of the standout features was the generous sized balcony; it faces west so we love the late afternoon sunshine and relaxing with a glass of wine.”
Annie,32, who is originally from Taiwan and a keen cook, said: “The kitchen is in a neutral décor and is open plan connecting with our living room and dining area. So it works really well as a very sociable space. We’re looking forward to being able to cook and enjoy having friends round with drinks on the balcony when the weather’s good and all covid restrictions lifted.”
The couple, only recently moved in, are already part of a neighbours’ Whatsapp group and have already started to bump into fellow residents and feel there’s a nice sense of community in the building.
Matthew’s job as a first officer on the Thames Clipper ferry service means he’s never far from the river and living at Trinity Walk means he can cycle the 20 minutes to work on the
other side of the Thames, near Canary Wharf. The convenient and secure bike stores available for residents means his bike is easily accessible when he has an early start. Annie works at The London School of Economics in Holborn and finds it easy to hop onto the DLR to travel into work at the university.
The couple are no strangers to the area. They both love the historical heritage of this part of south east London and are looking forward to exploring even further. Although one of their favourite places, the Vietnamese family run restaurant, Viet Baguette (Pho & Grill) is just around the corner in Anglesea Road, so they don’t have far to go for a delicious authentic meal.
Lea Hudson, sales manager at Lovell Homes, said: “Property hunters have been taking advantage of one of the best times to buy an apartment in London we’ve ever seen with low interest rates and the stamp duty holiday. We have seen the majority of first-time buyers take up the London Help to Buy scheme which allows them to secure a mortgage of only 55 per cent of the value of the property, with only a five per cent deposit.”
Prices start from £355,000 for a one bedroom apartment at Cottesbrook Heights.
